U2
Apart from being among the top selling bands of the 1980s (and since), Irish
rock band U2 has long been concerned with the troubles in Northern Ireland.
Their 1983 album War, which in the opinion of at least this listener contains
some of the band's best work, demonstrates the strong influence that the culture
of war and violence had on the band, through such powerful tracks as "New Year's Day"
and "Sunday Bloody Sunday."
U2 song lyrics...
I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For
Sunday Bloody Sunday
